More Quick News
Back after a long weekend where my ISP decided it could take a few days off. Awesome.
Nintendo delays Zelda til Summer 2006, throws in towel on video game wars
That about says it all. By blowing right past their Xmas release on Twilight Princess pretty much means they've given up all hope. They happily announced though that Pokemon XD will ship in time for the holidays in it's place.
Whoopdie. Sell your Cubes kids, it's all over.
Blizzard makes an announcement about a future announcement about WoW
Much rumoring had stated that Blizzard was either going to announce Diablo 3 or StarCraft 2 at it's fan convention BlizzCon in late October. They then recently quenched that rule stating that the only new product that would be announced there would be related to World of WarCraft.
It's no real stretch to say that it's going to be an expansion... I mean when you have the highest subscribing MMO in history (actually Lineage 1/2 might be higher, but not for long)... you have a license to print money and that's just what they are doing.
In unreleated news, which is absolutely related... I reactivated my WoW account after 6 weeks off. It's also been said I'm a weak, pathetic fool with no resolve. Go figure.
Metal Gear Solid 3 final thoughts
Real quickly... the game itself is very linear (surprisingly so), and is way too easy thanks to the CQC system. I didn't even try to be stealthy. However, in true Kojima fashion, the presentation and story is through the roof -- and is the real star of the game. The last battle must be seen to be believed and the ending is an emotional rollercoaster. Really good stuff... recommended.
That's it for now, hopefully my internet stays up for a while. Tomorrow is the appointed day for Microsoft to release the launch info for the XB360... we'll see if that happens. Expect a lot of bitching tomorrow either way.
